COMFORTABLE DENTISTRY

Many people feel anxious about a visit to the dentist. But if you haven't been to the dentist in a while, you'll be pleasantly surprised. We have new techniques that virtually eliminate discomfort — for example, we offer nitrous oxide and audio / visual entertainment options. Above all, our team is well trained in making you comfortable.

SEDATION DENTISTRY

We're proud to be able to offer sleep dentistry, an option that lets us perform procedures while you sleep lightly. If you're a fearful or very busy patient, sleep dentistry lets us attend to all your dental needs in just one or two visits.

After an initial consultation, we'll schedule you to take a medication called Triazolam just prior to your appointment. A friend transports you to and from the office. When you arrive, you'll be relaxed and drowsy, but thoroughly responsive. Our sleep dentistry team monitors you closely throughout the procedure. If you're like most patients, when you awake, you won't remember or feel a thing. Best of all, you'll be done with dentistry for a while, and feel comfortable when you return home.

ORTHODONTICS — Invisalign ®

Wouldn't it be great to get your teeth straightened without anyone outside your family even knowing about it? Now there's a new way to straighten teeth — invisibly. The process is called Invisalign, because we use aligners instead of wires that are almost invisible. They can be just as effective as wire braces, and treatment takes about the same amount of time. But you'll be far more comfortable. Invisalign is removable, so you'll have no problem eating, brushing, or flossing. Imagine having the smile you've always wanted without the braces you've always avoided. Let us set up an appointment to see if Invisalign is for you.

MIGRAINES

If you suffer from migraines, and are searching for a "magic pill" to relieve your pain, relief may be in your dentist's office: a small device that fits over your two front teeth. It's called the NTI Tension Suppression System, and it reduces the muscle contractions that occur when you clench your jaw tightly or grind your teeth. NTI was invented by a dentist who suffered from migraines and designed the prototype for his own use. In FDA tests, 85 percent of migraine sufferers had a 75 percent decrease in pain by using the NTI. If you've tried yoga, meditation, biofeedback, over-the-counter and prescription medications to little or no avail, you may want to give NTI a try. You never know.

SLEEP APNEA

If your spouse or friends have complained about your loud snoring, it may be more than an inconvenience for them: it could be life threatening for you. You may be suffering from sleep apnea. This is a condition where the air passage is blocked and breathing actually stops for seconds at a time several times during the night. These episodes can be serious and should be treated. Our office can do things to prevent apnea, making for a sound night's sleep. Many patients (and spouses) find it a lifesaver.

SNORING

Do the walls of your house vibrate at night? Does your dog or cat sleep with his paws over his ears? In some men or women, snoring can be reduced or eliminated simply by wearing an oral appliance at night. The appliance enlarges the airway by positioning the lower jaw slightly forward. The appliance fits snugly onto the teeth of each arch, with the teeth slightly apart. The procedure to fit the appliance is easy and painless.
